Jigging For Giants - Spring 2026

Our Jigging For Giants Walleye fishing derby is back this Spring, better than ever!


​This year it will be Zone 14 wide meaning you can get your derby card and fish anywhere in zone 14. That's right from Sault Saint Marie to Spanish Ontario...you can catch and win.

Derby cards will be available at our sponsors locations, see below. Once you have your card please call or email us to register and pay. We will give you your Derby number at the start of the Derby once your waivers and rules have been read and signed.
All fish entered must be released 

The derby dates are May 9 th and 10th. The entry fee is $50 (plus tax) per day, per person. You can fish 1 day or both, no limit of number of people in your boat, as long as its legal. However, all people in the boat must be registered.

Arrive early for registration, boat inspectation and launch. You are welcome to wait along the dock slips or out in the water until the start time. You can also stay for the event in our cabins, in your Rv or a camp site. Pre-derby fishing prizes also available for those looking to fish a few days earlier to get to know the area. Bring cash especially for the tackle raffle. 

Don't forget to bring a "bump board" or something that can clearly measure your fish!!!

Rules:
1. All participants must sign waivers, read and sign rules, and be paid to enter the event, same day is ok.
2. All persons in the boat must be registered for the derby
3. All persons must obey legal fish limits, boating rules, alcohol laws (dry event no alcohol allowed in boat)
4. Fish are to be entered via a picture of their live legally caught Walleye, on your bump board or tape measure, with your derby card name and number clearly visible AND 1 picture of with the fisherman.
5. Fish entered must be released immediately afterwords.
6. Participants enter at their own risk and agree to rules.
7. Any non-sportsman like conduct will result in the ejection from the event with no refund
8. Any rude, bad behaviour, illegal fishing, dangerous actions or otherwise poor or unsportman-like conduct will forfeit your right to any prizes with no refund
9.  All fish entered must have pictures sent by text, BEFORE the derby finish time, 4pm. 
*Any late entries will not be valid*
10. All fish entered must be sent via text to 705 626 8183 before the end time
11.Derby runs from 8am-4pm both days.
12.You may enter 1 or both days, $50 per day plus tax.
13. Boats must be inspected before the start

*Note: to all participants, if you are registered and have your boat checked at our location you can launch at other launches, OR you can arrive earlier and have your boat in the water, ready to begin at 8am at the start.  Space is limited for dock slips.

**Please arrive early to allow time for inspection, registration and parking.

Final Rules with any changes will be available at the event, you will need to read and sign your agreement for event liability release form prior to the event start time to enter.

2. Register online - email us at [email protected] with your names, address, phone number and # of people in your fishing party.
3. Pay the $50 per person plus tax/day

5. Call us to register and pickup and pay at the derby
