This October the legendary waters of the Whalesback Channel will come alive with the sounds of reels spinning, waves crashing and raw adrenaline yells of anglers screaming “fish on” as they chase down those elusive golden monsters just beneath the surface. Jigging for Giants is happening in the Whalesback Channel along the north shores of Lake Huron, and will forever be remembered where the contenders were separated from the pretenders!

Jigging for Giants is an interactive fishing event hosted by The Spanish River Resort & Campground. Over 3 days two Northern Ontario industry Pro’s and Walleye experts, Danny Sammons and Greg Carrier, will share their lives’ work offering Walleye coaching clinics both on land- dry, and by boat - wet coaching. In the clinics they will teach you how to think like a predator and discuss how combining new technology and time tested techniques together will help you master the skills needed to explore, hunt and find your personal best just off the shores of Spanish in the North Channel.
Imagine catching a 30 inch or bigger Walleye…can you see your own smile?

A final test of knowledge and skill …included with this event is a Walleye Derby.
Wednesday will be an all out contest to see who can land the biggest Walleye. There will be awards and a fish fry to follow.

For those that sign up for the 3 day Walleye Clinic, it is only $100 per person. And includes the Walleye Derby on the last day and a fish fry dinner to follow the awards ceremony. I can already smell the fish frying and Bacon sizzling!
